Yummy

My finance left for a week-long business trip two days ago, and so it's just me and the pups for a whole week. When he is at home, I try to cook dinner most nights, but that usually gets thrown out the window at 8:30 when we are both starving and just order take-out. Well, this week, since I don't have any third party influences, I have decided to go organic. All of the dancers at work are eating EVERYTHING organic, so I decided to give it a go. So, I went and just bought the basics: organic milk, organic fruits, yogurt, and a TON of frozen organic meals. Now, I have seen so many people at work eating these, but processed food in a box just never has been very appealing to me-until now. I L.O.V.E. this brand of organic meals. This one, the shepherd's pie, was delicious. I have been trying a new one each night, and have not been disappointed yet. If you are like me, and want to try a new, healthier way to enjoy food, then this is the easiest and most convenient way to go organic. Bon Appétit!

Good People

I love good people. I just love how when you are having a bad day and work sucks and your dogs pee on the rug, that there are people out there that can turn that bad day into something special. Yesterday, that person was my new chiropractor. Just when I had decided that it was going to be another long, frustrating day, my chiropractor changed my perspective on it all. She told me that I have a sixth lumbar vertebrae (most people only have 5) and that this makes me special.

Sometimes, you just need to hear something good. The fact that my new doc, who doesn't really know me, called me special really saved my day. I know she didn't mean it in the normal, mushy, lovey-dovey way, but those words really made me feel hopeful, and sometimes that's just what I need. So thanks Dr. Bomar, you rock.

Save the Date

So, after four years of courtship, Mackie and I are finally engaged! What a great way to begin the new year. Now, I have always been the kind of girl who loves the party, but hates to plan it, but not this time. I have been having the time of my life getting things ready for our big day, and surprisingly, I have gotten a lot accomplished in the past month.

My newly completed project is my save the date card. It has become the inspiration for my "downtown" theme and I just love everything about it, from the fonts and even the fact that the picture of the downtown trolley I used has a Ballet Memphis(where I work) banner ad on the side. I am going to have them printed on 4x6 postcards, and the back will look like a traditional post card, with space to hand write personal notes to each guest. Here is a peak at the finished project!
